Tour De Farce

Claiming victory in the Tour De France takes
preparation by a great team. The same can be said for GDX’s Tour De Farce although there are a few differences. First, bike teams are formed, named and their cheers and victory dances created. The teams then compete for “Road Rally Points” through a series of challenges to collect parts for their bikes. After building their bikes
and decorating their victory flags and race suits, the world’s second most prestigious bike race begins. Awards are given in various categories including the MVPP (Most Valuable Pedal Pusher), and to make the victories even sweeter, the bikes can be donated to the charity of your choice.

What does a Tour De Farce program look like?

The Starting Line: Before the race you’ll meet your fellow “pedal pushers” and decide on team names, jersey colors, bike bling, and victory dances.

The Bike-Building Brigade: For a bike race, you need, well – bikes.  Teams win “Road Rally Points” by collecting bike parts as racers turn “pit crew” to build their bikes.

Field Sprint: And they’re off!   Teamwork pays off whether you’re riding slipstream in the pack or taking off in the breakaway.  Stamina, endurance, and well-crafted bikes also make a difference.

The Finish Line: You’ve broken through the ribbon at the finish line, fists pumping the air!  Imagine the cheers, the pennants waving, the cameras clicking as your team carries away the coveted Tour de Farce trophy!

Awards and Swag: Step up to the podium and receive accolades, ribbons and swag (stuff we all get.)  Awards are presented for speed, sportsmanship, and most creative jersey.  The bikes can be donated to the charity of your choice.
